How to Change Bellsouth Password

Complete these steps from the myAT&T sign-in.

Look for the following before you begin with password reset process:-The password is going to be the same in case you are having an Access ID with an AT&T email address associated with it.When you change or reset your password, it will get changed for both your email address and Access ID.​To complete the below-mentioned instructions, make sure that you only use AT&T email address even if your account is merged with a Yahoo.com email address.

If you forgot your AT&T password

  1. Select Forgot Bellsouth password?

  2. Complete the Password section.

  3. Choose temporary password or security questions and follow the prompts.

  4. If you chose temporary password, enter the password you received. The temporary password page will tell you where the password was sent.

  5. Create your new password.

If you forgot your ID and password

  1. Select Forgot ID? > User ID & Password.

  2. Enter your contact email address.

  3. If prompted, choose how you would like to receive your ID.

  4. Enter your user ID that was sent to you.

  5. Choose temporary password or security questions and follow the prompts.

  6. If you chose temporary password, enter the password you received. The temporary password page will tell you where the password was sent.

  7. Create your new password.

How to Change Password

For security reasons, it’s a great idea to change your password regularly. You can do this on myAT&T.

  1. Go to your Sign-in info.

  2. Select Change password.

  3. Enter and save your password info.

Bellsouth.net Email Password changes

Often, the password you use to sign in to your email and myAT&T are the same. Even though you might get your email at att.net, you’ll always manage your email password on att.com (myAT&T). We can help if you lost your email password and want to reset it, or if you know your password but want to change it.

I don’t know my password and can’t sign in

If you recently changed the password for your AT&T User ID, try to sign in to your email using that new password. If that doesn’t work, reset your password:

  1. Go to myAT&T.

  2. Select Forgot Password?

  3. Complete the password info.

  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.

  5. Create your new password

Just a heads-up: Your new password may also apply to your AT&T User ID.

Note: If you don’t know your contact email address or we don’t recognize it, select Forgot your contact email? and enter your info. You can also do this to find your AT&T email address.

Do you know your passcode and want to change it?

  1. Go to Profile.

  2. Choose your wireless account from dropdown, if applicable.

  3. Select Sign-in info.

  4. In the Wireless passcode section, select Get a new passcode.

  5. Follow the prompts to enter and submit your new passcode.

Requirements for security passcode changes

  • Must be a 4- to 8-digit number. (This is a new requirement. Your current passcode may contain letters.)

  • Can’t have letters, spaces, or symbols.

  • Can’t contain sequential numbers, like 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

  • Should be a hard-to-guess number that’s not similar to your phone number, birthday, or Social Security number.

  • Should be memorized or stored in a safe place.

Do you want to reset your passcode so you can sign in?

  1. Go to myAT&T and enter your ID and password.

  2. On the Confirm security passcode page, select Get a new passcode.

  3. Follow the prompts to enter and submit your new passcode.

Sign in without your wireless account passcode

  • During sign-in, you can enter the wireless account passcode and check Turn off extra security. This removes the extra security from your wireless account so you don’t have to enter the passcode next time. Learn more about extra security.

  • If you have accounts other than wireless linked to your ID, you can sign in without the wireless account passcode. Just check Skip passcode and don’t manage this account today to sign in and manage your non-wireless accounts.

  • Your passcode is 4-8 characters and might be all numbers.

  • This is what you use to sign in to myAT&T.

  • Your password can be a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. Follow the prompts if you forgot your password.

  • It might be the same as your AT&T Mail password. Learn about shared passwords.

Heads up: If your wireless service is or was combined with your AT&T Internet, U-verse TV, or DIRECTV service, your account has a different kind of passcode you won’t use online. Learn more about the passcode for a combined account.
